Strengthening Czech–Bangladesh Defence Cooperation
The Czech Republic warmly welcomed the Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, and his delegation for a series of high-level engagements focused on military modernization, defence training, and enhanced bilateral cooperation.
Ahead of the visit, the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Dhaka, Mr. A. S. M. Mohiuddin Monem, held a strategic briefing with the Chief of Army Staff to provide key insights and guidance, ensuring productive and impactful outcomes from the visit.
During their engagements in the Czech Republic, the delegation met with senior representatives of the Czech Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defence, and leading defence and aerospace companies. These interactions highlighted Czech expertise in defence innovation and opened avenues for future defence-industrial collaboration.
The mission was prepared and coordinated by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, led by Economic Diplomat Shimon Müller and AMOS of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Repiblic, with the active participation of Mr. Jan Špiler (Deputy Director of AMOS). Thanks to the close cooperation of Her Excellency, all stakeholders, the mission successfully combined high-level institutional engagements with direct interaction between Bangladesh decision-makers and key representatives of the Czech defece industry.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening Czech–Bangladesh defence relations, reflecting a shared commitment to long-term strategic partnership.
